Overview
For this concert, Frances Yip will collaborate with her longtime friend Anthony Lun and invite guitar virtuosos such as Wong Chung-yin and Leading Volinist Ayako Ichimaru    to provide live accompaniment, bringing new life to classics. She is particularly fond of the songs "Red Beauty" and "That Day I Gave My Heart to You," written for her by Cheng Kwok Kong. In addition to the must-sing "Shanghai Beach," she has also prepared classics such as "Devoting Truth, Goodness, and Beauty," "By the River of Longing," and "Lover's Tears." She has also re-arranged "Giving You Tomorrow's Sun," a special piece for the 1987 CCTV Spring Festival Gala. The concert theme, "Gratitude," is dedicated to those who cherish her.

Her performance of "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me" at the SHARP’s Night Show," Hong Kong's first amateur singing competition, marked a turning point in her life. Entering the music industry, she became the first Chinese female singer signed to EMI Records in the UK and went on to record numerous English hits. In 1980, with the custom curation by  Joseph Koo and James Wong, Frances Yip reached the pinnacle of her singing career. She sang classic theme songs for TV series like "The Shanghai Beach," "Shanghai Beach Dragon Tiger Fight," and "Mulan Flower," as well as  other golden Mandarin and English hits, establishing her as a renowned "golden voice" in Hong Kong. At 77, Frances Yip is grateful for every interaction with fans over the past 55 years. She believes this is a blessing from heaven. With a youthful heart, she adheres to the principle of "live and sing with passion," truly dedicating herself to "bringing truth, goodness, and beauty to everyone through music."
